We'll demystify today's camera market so you can make an informed choice. Camera manufacturing has changed remarkably in a short time. Progress is made almost daily, including larger files for capture, seamless exposures, in-camera color manipulations and more. The software to process these results is making fantastic still photographs. Choices and settings allow more control than ever before. In this three hour workshop we will work with only the camera. We start by understanding what we need to know about these cameras from the history and physics laws of photography. You will learn to understand what you are really doing when you push that button and what settings are best to control and when it's best to leave the camera on automatic. This workshop will be brand-specific, mentioning names and types of cameras and where to look further for camera information. Learn how to set the camera correctly for specific types of photography. After diving into the changes in digital photography, discussion will progress to the purpose of certain types of cameras, their strengths and weakness for achieving the best photographs. Participants will leave knowing what camera will best suit their particular type of photographic desire. We will have you shooting pictures to learn about your camera so bring them along.
