The Doylestown Photo Club

Next Meeting January 15th at 7PM

Our membership continues to grow as we end the fall season 2008, with plenty of activity! Our first Annual exhibit ended this past weekend with our first annual Holiday party. The exhibit was a outstanding success with a hundreds of prints shown by multiple members and a comfortable stream of viewers. Thank you to all those who made the effort to participate and those who made the trek to The Photography Place to share in the experience. We are indeed fortunate have Deb Derrick helping to put all the details in place.

Our December meeting of the season took place and was attended by over 55 members. It featured a presentation by Drew Wagner on the street photographer Stephen Shore. We all shared in viewing the exhibited works of our photographers as they had opportunities to discuss their motivations.

The field trip into Doylestown for street photography was attended by over 20 members...whoa!

The club is still growing, so to speak, and as we grow, organizational changes will no doubt continue to be made. Our meetings contain opportunities for new members to learn something photography from each other and we encourage you to participate on the every growing committees. Thanks...

The club will be taking its December field trip to various locations around Doylestown where there are interesting barns. Members will meet at the Bucks County Court House parking garage at 9 AM on December 20th.

An educational series of classing will be starting at the photography place in January. Please look on the web site as we will be featuring many new opportunities

The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 15th at 7 p.m. and will feature a presentation speaker and a discussion of "A Vision Shared".

If you plan to join us in January, please bring a folding chair or camp chair, as our available seating is very limited.
