BASIC - BEGINNING PHOTOGRAPHY
On THURSDAY evenings for 3 weeks... learn photography in our professional studio environment. Each participant will learn from tried and true principles that are essential knowledge to the photographer today, yesterday and tomorrow. This course will give students hands on experience and clear understanding of your camera's f-stops and shutter speeds. Taking the course will teach you what your camera does and why, weather digital or film. We will teach to correctly hold and use the camera, the reasons for lens choices, exposure choices and color choices. These all play a role in creating good photographs. Learn in our studio with direct one on one contact to an experienced instructor / photographer.
In the learning periods, participants will be building a knowledge of the related principles needed to advance themselves to intermediate photography skills while assigned well thought out lessons each week to enjoy and experiment then return to The Place and discuss and learn from their personal experiences. The results will be reviewed in a positive learning critique during class time sharing with other participants achievements.
An understanding of why it is the photographer and not the camera that improves the qualities of capture will be realized. Each participant will be learning how to control compositions and the use of their camera on both automatic and manual. This is a study that gives participants, personal hands experience beyond the classroom and knowledge learned from years of experience in photography .
