FRAMING PHOTOGRAPHY ... learn techniques, tips and resources ...
In this expanded three night workshop, participants will learn that it is the presentation of the photograph that finishes the process. Whether yours is to hang your prints in a home or a gallery, give them as gifts, or exhibit them in shows, the right choice for the mat and frame adds presence to your image. Materials to preserve your images becomes critical to the choices at many framing levels. The choices made will complement your photographs and reveal significance in your work.
Making choices to frame work is essential in this workshop. Learn how to cut mats and choose the right frames quickly and economically. We will provide easy resources to do-it-yourself with cut mats and preassembled frames. We'll discuss three levels of framing—basic/inexpensive to high-quality presentations—how to choose between them and when to make those choices.
During the second and thirds evenings we will be looking at and working on your examples.
Eliminate the mystery to matting and framing your photographs. Through a series of easy steps, you'll leave this workshop with knowledge to show off your work proudly and often! The cost of this workshop is easily absorbed in doing one single frame yourself.
Objective: To learn to custom mat and frame your finished photographs
