Photographic Composition
What does "having an eye" for photography mean? It can be an intuitive understanding of how to capture a scene, but it most often involves understanding compositional elements such as line, shape, form, use of space and color.
Our most memorable photographs not only impact us due to compelling or nostalgic subject matter, but there is often "something" about the image that makes it interesting to look at.
Learn composition by looking at both famous and obscure images and understanding what the photographer was seeing through the lens, and in the dark room. Of course we will also take our own photos and talk about the compositional elements at both the time of shooting the picture and processing later in the digital darkroom.
Composition is one of the fundamental components of taking good photographs!
